53 people have been killed and scores injured in a skyscraper inferno in Shanghai. The 30 storey building was under renovation when fire broke out in scaffolding. It quickly spread to the building itself. Some people jumped from the windows of the high-rise to escape. Dozens of fire engines have been battling the blaze. The picture of “Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival” is under debugging at Shanghai Expo’s China Pavilion in Shanghai, east China, Nov. 25, 2010. Shanghai Expo’s China Pavilion will reopen to the public on Dec. 1 and remain open for half a year, the Expo Bureau said.
